Day 1:
Arrival to Lima
Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Does not include meals
Day 2:
Trip from Lima to Cusco
Transfer from your hotel to the airport to take your flight to Cuzco (FLIGHTS NOT INCLUDED). Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel where you will receive an Aromatic "Mate de Coca" to acclimatize to the altitude, you will have the rest of the day free to rest and we also suggest you take a Light Lunch. Day 3:
Knowing the Sacred Valley of the Incas
After your Breakfast at the Hotel, you will be picked up at 08:15 am for a full day tour of the Urubamba Valley visiting the Colorful Indian Market in Pisac where you will appreciate a mixture of Color and Tradition. Pisac is located at the entrance to the Sacred Valley followed by Ollantaytambo. Most of the people who visit Pisac are to see the Sunday Market, but there are Smaller Markets both on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However Pisac is a Beautiful Town and has a lot of small Handicraft Stores and is worth a visit any day of the week it is a good place to buy Local Ceramics, Including a huge Collection and a varied range of Hand Paintings . Lunch in a Typical Restaurant in Urubamba then continue to Ollantaytambo, which is a Small but Attractive City located in the Western End of the Sacred Valley, considered the Oldest City continuously occupied in the entire American Continent. It is located near some Spectacular Inca Ruins that Strategically protected the entrance to the lower part of the Urubamba Valley. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with its canals that have not changed since the Inca Era, evoke its Ancestral Heritage, then you will end up visiting Chinchero. Chinchero is a Small Andean Indian Town located on top of the Wind-Whipped Plains of Anta at 3762msnm about 30 km from Cuzco and is believed to be the Mythical Birthplace of the Rainbow. Its main attraction for tourism is its Colorful Sunday Market. At the end of the Tour, you will return to Cuzco arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m. to the Plaza Mayor of Cuzco. Includes Breakfast and Lunch
Day 4
Machu Picchu trip
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Train Station that leaves for Aguas Calientes, the trip lasts about 4 hours. During the trip you will have an Impressive View of the Landscapes of the Sacred Valley in Urubamba and a Glimpse of the Amazon Rainforest, showing a little of how much Peru has to offer. Upon arrival at the Small Town of Aguas Calientes you will have to go to the bus station that will take you to the "Citadel of Machu Picchu" (only 20 minutes away) to start the guided tour of the Historic Sanctuary, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and you can see Mounds where some Important Characters (Curacas, Princes, Governors) were buried. At the end you will have free time to explore the area on your own, at a determined time you will return to Aguas Calientes where you can relax in the Hot Springs or just spend the night at your hotel. Includes Breakfast and Lunch
Day 5:
Return from Machu Picchu to Cusco
Free day at your disposal, you can visit Machu Picchu again on your own (bus, entrance and guide not included this day). In the afternoon you will return to Cuzco, reception at the train station and transfer to your hotel. Includes Breakfast and Lunch Optional: You can make a second visit to Machu Picchu and have the opportunity to visit remote places such as Inti PUNKU (Puerta del Sol) or for more adventures you can take an excursion to the top of Huayna Picchu (young mountain) or visit the Temple of the Luna and enjoy a Spectacular view of the City. Or if you have good physical conditions you can take an adrenaline-filled walk to the opposite position of the Putukusi mountain in front of Machu Picchu that allows you to have other Unforgettable Views of this New Wonder.
Day 6:
Travel from Cusco to Puno
Breakfast and transfer to the bus station for the trip to Puno. They depart from Cuzco by Guided Bus to Puno, visiting on route Picturesque Villages and Archaeological Sites such as: Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, Sicuani, La Raya and Pukara. Lunch included in Sicuani. In the afternoon arrive in Puno, reception and transfer to your hotel. Additional fee if you want to travel by train. Only Monday, Wednesday and Friday, ask for availability. Includes Breakfast, Box Lunch
Day 7:
Knowing the Uros and Taquile Islands
They will pick you up at 6:30 am, to go to the Port of Puno to take a motorized Tourist Boat and to go to the Wonderful Floating Islands of the Uros. After a 1 hour boat trip, you will arrive at the Uros Island on Lake Titicaca. Fishermen and hunters inhabit the Floating Islands of the Uros. The Uros Inhabitants are known as the “Water Tribe”, because they have to build their Own Islands periodically by adding New Layers of Totora, which grows in the Lake, to create the conditions that ensure the Islands to stay afloat. . The Dense Roots of the plants form the support of the Island. The roofs are Waterproof and the houses are extremely humid by the Water that surrounds them. They use it as Homes and Shopping Centers for the Natives, they use handmade Totora boats as their means of Transportation. At present, they speak Quechua and Aymara. After this Exciting Tour, you will go to the Island of Taquile, a place where you can Experience the Daily Life of the Native People, the Place is Full of Color and the Landscape, where they still maintain their Customs, Rituals, Religious and Folkloric Traditions. In the town of Taquile you will eat a Typical Lunch of fresh fish (trout). There is also an Artisan Fair in the Plaza that sells Exceptional Wool Products that are of very Good Quality. The Island of Taquile is Famous for its Artisan Production, especially for its beautiful Textiles. The Island is narrow 1 km. wide and from 6 to 7. km long. The visit can be exhausting due to the altitude (13,000 feet above sea level). In Taquile there are Numerous Inca and Pre-Inca Ruins, as well as the Inca Terraces. They will return to Puno in the afternoon. Includes Breakfast and Lunch NOTES: Visa requirement for US citizens to enter Bolivia. Day 8:
Isla del Sol Full Day (Bolivia)
You will be picked up from your Hotel at 6:30 a.m. You will travel by land to the Copacabana Sanctuary. You will arrive in Copacabana after a 3 hour bus ride. Copacabana is the Most Important Religious Sanctuary in Bolivia, Thousands of Pilgrims visit the Virgin of Copacabana every year, also known as the Indigenous Lady, they will visit the Main Plaza and the Impressive Cathedral (1/2 hour tour). You will arrive at Isla del Sol after 1 hour of a Spectacular Catamaran Cruise including lunch on board, this Island has been identified as the birthplace of several revered beings, including the Sun itself. Day 9:
Travel from Puno to Lima
Transfer from your hotel to the Airport to take your flight to Lima (FLIGHTS NOT INCLUDED). On the way to Juliaca Airport (Puno does not have an airport) we will visit the Chullpas de Sillustani Pre-Columbian Funeral Towers).
